The baby boom filled Norwalk's schools and play yards.
We used to stay up late, listening to Brooklyn Dodger games on the radio hidden under our sheets. And now, they're moving to California. No more chances to see Carl Furillo play right field. Like I do. I'm headed to Duffy field to see the Norwalk Class B softball league battle it out for the title. The O'Brien Press team just knocked off the Sons of Italy and the Pote Shoreliners are next. We might just celebrate over at the Jolly Fisherman on Main Ave. with a nice Roast Prime Rib while the piano player plays.
